Our entire operation is about based around the reusing of furniture and dissemination of this to those most in need, which has the added benefit of our solution being a sustainable one for businesses and residents who have good quality pre-loved furniture they no longer require.

FRC Group acknowledges that sustainability in business addressees two main categories:

• The effect business has on the environment
• The effect business has on society

Our goal of a commitment to operating a sustainable business strategy is to make a positive impact on both of these areas. Sustainability at FRC Group means we work to assume responsibility, and minimise our impact on the environment, campaign for equality, and help balance social injustice.

We commit to:

• Operating in a sustainable manner, and striving to improve on an annual basis
• Developing new solutions to maximise the level of furniture reuse we achieve
• Continually growing to increase our ability to employ local people through our training programmes
• Focusing on movement of waste up the waste hierarchy through increasing our reuse programme and our own internal waste management practices
• Measuring our social value impact and reporting annually

Waste Management and Reuse

Our Bulky Bob’s collection service strives to minimise the number of bulky furniture items going to landfill by processing them at our workshop to prepare as many of them as possible for reuse by those most in need.

We also work with businesses through our Bulky Bob’s for Business service in collecting bulky furniture items they no longer require and again processing them at our workshop for reuse and recycling.

At FRC and Buckingham Interiors we aim to work with sustainable supply chains and offer a ‘bring back’ service when furniture comes to the end of lifecycle point.
