All ‘reusable’ items are quality checked before being sent to the workshop at the shop where everything is vacuumed, cleaned, repaired, upholstered and steamed where necessary, ensuring all items are of really good quality before going onto the shop floor.
Mattresses that are collected are recycled or reused. As part of our mission to End Furniture Poverty we have designed and developed the first automated mattress UltraClean machine which delivers high quality, clean and fresh mattresses to those most in need.
When mattresses are not suitable to be cleaned with our UltraClean Mattress machine they are fully recycled and our deconstruction service strips mattresses down into constituent parts – metal, cotton, foam and polyester, avoiding any element of a mattress going to landfill.
