Household Collections

We collect, reuse and recycle bulky household waste in Liverpool and Oldham, and have made over 1 million collections over the past 21 years.

If you are based in Liverpool, our independent service starts from £30 for up to 5 items of furniture and white goods, and can be booked on our website.

If you are an Oldham Council Resident, book your collection on 0161 770 6644. The council currently charge £20 for up to 3 items, and each additional item costs £7.

On both services, there are some surcharges for items such as fridges-freezers, TVs and mattresses due to the costs associated with responsibly recycling them.

To make or change a booking with Liverpool City Council you will need to contact them directly, as this is now delivered by Liverpool Streetscene Services Limited, not Bulky Bob’s.

Ultraclean Mattresses

As part of our mission to End Furniture Poverty we have designed and developed the first automated mattress UltraClean machine to deliver high quality, clean and fresh mattresses to those most in need. At a rate of 8 mattresses per hour good as new, clean mattresses get to those in need as quickly as possible.

Bulky Bob's Furniture World - Closed

Bulky Bob’s Furniture World was a pleasantly appointed and well run, two floored site, offering discounted furniture to those looking for great quality, pre-loved furniture. They also managed the free distribution of furniture to families in crisis who were referred by over 100 partner charities. Sadly, Bulky Bob's Furniture World closed on the 14th October 2022 following the termination of the contract with Liverpool City Council.

We offer household bulky item collections services as part of both Liverpool City Council and Oldham Council. Each scheme includes the removal of pre-loved furniture items which are cleaned up and repaired, and taken for reuse wherever possible as part of our mission to End Furniture Poverty.

Business Clearances

We offer a wide range of office and commercial collection and reuse services, including office clearances and removals, mattress recycling, mattress ‘UltraClean’ cleaning and IT equipment collection. What’s more, items which we collect will be refurbished and reused by those most in need, and if they cannot be reused.
