Household Collections

We no longer collect in Liverpool. However, we continue to collect, reuse, and recycle bulky household waste in Oldham, having completed over 1 million collections over the past 21 years.

If you are based in Liverpool, please note we no longer provide collection services in the area. You can book collections with Liverpool City Council here – bulky-item-collection

For residents of Oldham Council, you can book your collection by calling 0161 770 6644. The council charges £20 for up to 3 items, with an additional £7 per extra item.

Please be aware that surcharges apply for items such as fridges, freezers, TVs, and mattresses due to the higher costs of responsible recycling.

To make or change a booking with Liverpool City Council, you will need to contact them directly, as collections are now managed by Liverpool Streetscene Services Limited, not Bulky Bob’s.

Ultraclean Mattresses

As part of our mission to End Furniture Poverty we have designed and developed the first automated mattress UltraClean machine to deliver high quality, clean and fresh mattresses to those most in need. At a rate of 8 mattresses per hour good as new, clean mattresses get to those in need as quickly as possible.

Bulky Bob's Furniture World - Closed

Bulky Bob’s Furniture World was a pleasantly appointed and well run, two floored site, offering discounted furniture to those looking for great quality, pre-loved furniture. They also managed the free distribution of furniture to families in crisis who were referred by over 100 partner charities. Sadly, Bulky Bob's Furniture World closed on the 14th October 2022 following the termination of the contract with Liverpool City Council.

Business Clearances

We offer a wide range of office and commercial collection and reuse services, including office clearances and removals, mattress recycling, mattress ‘UltraClean’ cleaning and IT equipment collection. What’s more, items which we collect will be refurbished and reused by those most in need, and if they cannot be reused.
