FRC Group is a group of social businesses and registered charities who exist to End Furniture Poverty, campaign to raise awareness of furniture poverty and create practical solutions to get furniture to people who need it. Our work also helps to create sustainable employment and better futures for people.

 

 

Who you are

As the face of FRC Group out on the road our Drivers get the opportunity to meet and talk to different customers in their homes every day. That’s why this role is about much more than just driving: it’s about helping others, delivering a great service and helping our overall mission to End Furniture Poverty.

Being a good driver is, naturally, a must but being a people person is just as important too as you will get to meet a lot of them, delivering to multiple customers each day, providing a quality service that exceeds expectations and assisting your customer with end to end installation of items such as a range of white goods, cookers and other household items. Its hands on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are ever the same.

What’s great about being a driver at FRC Group

  • To start with, you will be supported with a full induction and support from in-house driver mentors
  • You will also enjoy plenty of autonomy. As a driver you’ll be given delivery notes and your route for the day will mapped out
  • Your shift will generally start at around 7.30am (although some patterns vary), so it’s an early start, but on the flip side, you will finish before the rush hour traffic

To join the FRC Group family, you’ll need:

  • LGV Cat C Driving Licence
  • Good knowledge of transport legislation and tachographs
  • Reliable, responsible and used to working in a fast-paced environment, ideally with multi drop experience and ideally previous experience of installing goods
