Homelessness Accommodation – Salvation Army

Brennan Lodge Lifehouse is a 39 bed accommodation unit, purpose built by Halton Housing Trust and then taken over by the Salvation Army, who were responsible for selecting and supplying the furniture. The aim of the project is to support single homeless people by providing a settled period of accommodation, giving the staff the time to support individuals to stabilise their often chaotic lives and help them to develop their capacity, self-esteem and life skills to enable them to live independently in settled accommodation in the community.

We provided the furniture for all of the 39 self-contained flats. This included a contract metal bed frame with waterproof mattress and headboard, dining table and chairs, wardrobe, sofa, lampshade, and blackout curtains. We also supplied furniture for the office and reception, including vertical blinds, and furnished the communal lounge with sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, a bookcase, and a bistro table and chairs for the kitchen. We carefully selected the most appropriate brightly coloured sofas for the communal lounge to reflect the age range of expected occupants.
