Torus is a Housing Association with around 40,000 properties across Cheshire and the Liverpool City Region offering a choice of good quality, well maintained homes. Torus believe that everyone should have a place they can call home. Somewhere they feel safe, somewhere they can afford. Because of this, working with Torus and the relationship we developed with them was especially important to us as we share the same values and objectives.
We worked with Torus on their new £20 million purpose-built development, The Maples, which provides 100 high quality one and two bedroomed extra-care apartments to help people live their lives as independently as possible.
Torus asked us to work with them to choose and supply the furniture for the bistro, reception area, communal lounges, corridors, office and board room.
We created mood boards, colour schemes and layout plans and with a blank canvas to work from we used our experience to create a style that would fit the needs of the new residents. We incorporated themes for the dementia residents which included memory boxes outside each apartment so residents can immediately establish a valuable landmark in their new home. We also
designed and fitted a 2 bedroom show apartment.
