Johnnie Johnson Housing is a not-for-profit housing association dedicated to offering quality homes for independent living, providing a wide range of quality homes
for 5000 residents in the North West, North East, Yorkshire and Derbyshire. With expertise in providing housing and services for older people their motto is ‘living
longer, living better’ which reflects our values and passion to make a difference to people’s lives.
We worked with Johnnie Johnson Housing to refurbish three of there independent living schemes. After the initial meeting between us we presented a selection of our mood boards. Using our experience and interior design skills we recommended a theme to suit each room and to reflect the colour and styles that we felt would enhance the well-being of the residents and meet the initial brief. The mood boards were then presented at the consultation we held with the residents, this allowed the residents to be fully involved in the whole process of refurbishing their living areas.
From furniture, lighting, wall and window coverings, all items had been chosen to create a consistent theme throughout.
The whole process was managed by our experienced project manager from processing the order, liaising with site staff, overseeing all the delivery and ensuring health and safety standards were met.
From consultation, design, quality furniture and project management we created an environment for the residents to feel a sense of independence and a space that was more welcoming. The three schemes were a pilot for Johnnie Johnson and they were so happy with what we created that they asked us to continue to work with them on the rest of their schemes.
